Vesper MacKenzie (she/her) is an artist based between Northern Ireland and Scotland.
Having recently completed her BA (First Class) Hons Photography with Video degree at the Belfast School of Art.
Vesper has been a co-facilitator of the Queer Artist Forum, hosted monthly by Belfast Exposed, since 2023.
Her work is highly research-based and is frequently integrated with her activism for the transgender community.
Often drawing from her lived experience as a transgender woman, Vesper’s work explores methodologies to resist the history and themes of the gaze, surveillance, propaganda, architecture and urbanism as means of exercising control over queer people.
